Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of our partner, is seeking a Mid-level Data Platform Engineer in the United Arab Emirates to transform a data and ML platform into a scalable self-service environment. You will build deployment pipelines, IaC modules, and reusable tooling across data engineering, backend, and infrastructure.

Join a seasoned Data & AI team with clear engineering standards and an opportunity to own the platform tooling roadmap within six months.

Qualifications

• End-to-end deployment ownership and troubleshooting experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience in software, data, platform, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on Python and SQL proficiency used in professional tasks.
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Ability to analyze unfamiliar codebases and troubleshoot effectively.
• Experience with containers and AWS cloud concepts (SageMaker not required).
• Willingness to work across data engineering, backend systems, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Improve CI/CD pipelines and adapt workflows for reliable delivery.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code modules and patterns.
• Apply data governance standards for new data services.
• Build reusable platform tooling and template repositories.
• Create reusable modules to simplify pipeline creation.
• Improve technical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
• Own data access workflows and access-request processes.
• Take ownership of the template repository and infrastructure modules roadmap.
• Collaborate with data, backend, and infrastructure engineers to improve platform reliability.
• Incorporate AI-assisted development while validating and explaining generated code.
