Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks an experienced Container Engineer based in the United Arab Emirates to join a globally distributed team. You will build and operate a high-performance container platform powering cloud-native apps at scale, improving reliability, security, observability, and cost efficiency across regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in platform engineering, Kubernetes/container ops, or SRE, including on-call production duties.
• Deep Kubernetes/containers tooling and CNCF ecosystem knowledge (K8s, containerd, OCI/CRI).
• Software engineering: Go or similar systems language; build controllers and platform APIs.

Responsibilities

• Platform reliability: define and monitor SLIs/SLOs and error budgets for multi-tenant container platform.
• Observability: establish uptime metrics, metrics/logs/traces across platform components.
• Incident management: participate in on-call rotations and postmortems to reduce MTTD/MTTR.
• Platform software engineering: build/maintain automation, controllers, operators, and internal tools.
• CI/CD: design and improve platform pipelines, release processes for safe deployments.
• Security/automation: implement automated remediation and patch management.
• Testing: develop automated tests and pipelines for platform releases.
• Architecture: evolve container tech stack and multi-tenant isolation strategies.
• Infrastructure efficiency: optimize costs while maintaining security and reliability.
• Engineering enablement: support product teams with runbooks and alerting.
