Job summary

Burckhardt Compression AG in Dubai, UAE, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of reciprocating compressor packages across the Middle East. You will manage cross-functional teams, ensure contractual compliance, schedule, budget, and quality, and serve as the primary client contact from award to handover.

The role requires a strong leadership mindset, global stakeholder management, and willingness to travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or process engineering or similar education.
• At least 3 years' experience in a similar business.
• MBA or PMP certification would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete execution of reciprocating compressor package projects from order intake to final handover to the client.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, schedule commitments, quality standards, and financial targets.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions where required.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Lead project review meetings, progress updates, and contractual discussions with clients.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams located across multiple countries and time zones.
• Manage interfaces between engineering centers, manufacturing facilities, procurement organizations, quality teams, logistics providers, and field service personnel.
• Ensure effective collaboration between all stakeholders and eliminate execution bottlenecks.
• Manage project scope, variations, claims, and contractual obligations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the execution phase.
• Protect project profitability through effective commercial management and change control.
• Support invoicing milestones, cash collection, and financial forecasting activities.
• Oversee procurement activities and supplier performance for critical equipment and services.
• Monitor manufacturing progress at internal and external facilities.
• Coordinate inspections, quality control activities, factory acceptance tests, and shipment readiness.
• Ensure timely delivery of equipment and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry requirements.
• Drive a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project team.
