Job summary

Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Visa & Housing Assistant to support the Visa & Housing Specialist in all matters related to visas and housing. You will maintain and update employee visa and housing records and handle staff inquiries with excellent customer service.

The role involves processing visa requests, preparing immigration documents, and coordinating with government offices and service providers. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year administrative experience and a Diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent.
• Strong IT skills with MS Office Suite.
• Ability to prepare written documentation.
• Fluency in English; Arabic an asset.
• Experience with an HRMS system is an asset.
• Experience in frontline customer service environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Visa and Housing Specialist with processing visa requests for newly hired employees and cancellations for leavers.
• Prepare immigration medical documentation and accompany employees for medicals.
• Prepare documentation for driving licenses, utilities connections, and other government requests.
• Draft letters and documents to ministries, consulates, embassies, banks, police, etc.
• Assist staff with government inquiries and advise on university policies.
• Maintain and update employee Visa & Housing files in the Human Capitals database.
• Support housing matters including ADDC connections/disconnections and inspections.
• Assist in processing annual accommodation rental payments and brief on policy changes.
