Job summary

GE Vernova in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Tender Engineering Manager to lead the technical coordination for HVDC project tenders, including offshore platforms. You will act as the technical bid leader and primary customer contact, guiding multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative, safe, and compliant solutions on time and within budget.

You will manage global schedules, drive engineering processes, assess risks, and collaborate with regional leaders to develop execution

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering or related field.
Minimum 10 years of HVDC, FACTS, industrial, or renewable sector experience.
Experience in HVDC/Grid Solution Integration is mandatory.
Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
Willingness to travel worldwide up to 20% or more.

Responsibilities

Lead overall technical coordination during tendering phase of HVDC projects.
Serve as primary customer technical contact and collaborate with tender team to develop best technical solutions.
Ensure the technical tender design meets deadlines and quality standards.
Coordinate and manage global schedule of tender engineering activities and oversee technical coordination across work packages.
Select safe, reliable, cost-effective technical solutions and provide required documentation per tender schedule.
Estimate the project engineering budget and develop the project execution design strategy with regional leaders.
Manage the project from execution phase and support functional engineering leaders.
Coordinate project engineers who have led similar projects during execution to leverage experience.
