Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead the people, organisational and operational transformation across a complex international business. The role is strategic and hands-on, delivering large-scale change, operating model transformation, restructuring and workforce optimisation.

You will work with the CEO, COO and senior leaders to ensure the organisation is structured effectively, operates efficiently and has leadership and talent to support future growth.

Responsibilities

• Organisational & Operational Transformation
• Lead major organisational transformation and restructuring programmes across multiple businesses, countries and functions.
• Review and redesign organisational structures, reporting lines, spans of control and management layers.
• Develop and implement target operating models aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
• Identify opportunities to simplify the organisation, improve accountability and increase operational efficiency.
• Lead workforce optimisation, productivity and cost-efficiency initiatives.
• Support the consolidation, centralisation or creation of shared-service functions where appropriate.
• Establish clear roles, responsibilities, decision rights and governance across the organisation.
• Change Management
• Develop and execute change strategies for significant business and organisational transformation programmes.
• Work directly with senior executives to translate business strategy into organisational and workforce requirements.
• Lead the people aspects of acquisitions, integrations, restructures, market changes and business transformation.
• Ensure organisational changes are effectively communicated and embedded throughout the business.
• Identify and manage organisational resistance and ensure leadership accountability for delivering change.
• Strategic HR Leadership
• Develop and execute the HR strategy in support of the company's commercial and operational objectives.
• Lead strategic workforce planning across multiple countries and business units.
• Ensure the organisation has the right leadership, capability and talent to execute its strategy.
• Strengthen performance management and establish clear accountability for individual and organisational performance.
• Develop succession planning and leadership capability across critical roles.
• Ensure reward structures and incentives support business performance.
• HR Operations & Technology
• Drive greater efficiency, standardisation and automation across HR operations.
• Review HR processes and eliminate unnecessary complexity and bureaucracy.
• Lead HR technology and HRIS transformation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to use AI, automation and data analytics to improve HR effectiveness and workforce productivity.
• Develop meaningful people analytics covering headcount, productivity, cost, attrition, performance and organisational effectiveness.
• Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Act as a trusted adviser to the CEO and senior executive leadership team.
• Provide clear and commercially grounded recommendations on organisational structure, leadership and workforce matters.
• Challenge senior management constructively where organisational performance or accountability needs improvement.
• Lead and develop an international HR team.
• Build strong relationships across different cultures, countries and business functions.
