Job summary

Schlumberger in the UAE seeks an experienced EPC Contracts Manager to lead contract administration on complex international projects, primarily in oil and gas. You will manage contracts with clients, subcontractors and third parties, overseeing change orders, risk mitigation and dispute resolution.

You will work under the Business Line Commercial Manager for pre-execution and integration project managers for post-execution, ensuring compliance and timely communications with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years' EPC international project experience.
• Experience with EPC-focused oil and gas projects.
• Preference for few top-tier employers over job-hoppers.
• Strong post-execution / pre-award experience mix.
• Process-oriented with ability to improve efficiency.
• Experience drafting and enforcing EPC agreements.
• Experience supporting arbitration and litigation.
• Arabic language proficiency strongly preferred.
• Legal qualification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration of all project contracts following requirements and change orders.
• Develop strategies to manage contract risks and opportunities with proper records and meetings.
• Prepare subcontract templates and assist with major awards including term negotiation.
• Analyze change claims and manage disputes and resolutions.
• Perform analysis and valuations of project work.
• Ensure contract management processes and procedures are in place.
• Ensure bonds, warranties, insurances, undertakings are in the commercial interest.
• Own and manage commercial risks/mitigation on the project.
• Maintain project contract-related documents and communications with stakeholders.
• Oversee Site Contract Admins and Subcontract Managers.
• Negotiate final settlements on contract terms with customers and third parties.
