Job summary

Al Habtoor Research Centre (AHRC) in Dubai, UAE seeks an Early Warning and Strategic Foresight Researcher to join its Foresight and Early Warning Unit. You will analyze geopolitical developments, monitor regional and international trends, and support risk assessments to aid strategic decisions.

Applicants should have 2–4 years of relevant research experience, strong writing skills, and fluency in English. Arabic is a plus. Residency in the UAE is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in political science or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant research or analytical experience.
• Strong research and analytical writing skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Familiarity with horizon scanning or scenario planning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct political, geopolitical, economic, security, and tech research.
• Monitor regional and international developments through horizon scanning.
• Contribute to early warning assessments and geopolitical risk analysis.
• Support scenario planning, trend analysis, and foresight research.
• Prepare analytical briefs, reports, and presentations.
• Synthesize information into clear, evidence-based insights.
