Job summary

Role Description

This is a full-time Generative AI Engineer role based in Dubai, with a hybrid work model that combines on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. The Generative AI Engineer will design, implement, and optimize generative models for Arabic speech and text, focusing on Gulf dialects and telephony use cases. Day-to-day responsibilities include training and fine-tuning models, building data pipelines, evaluating performance on real conversational workloads, and improving robustness for names, numbers, and noisy audio. The role involves close collaboration with product, engineering, and customer teams to translate use cases into technical solutions, support API deployments (including on-premise environments), and contribute to research, experimentation, and documentation. The engineer will also help establish best practices for model monitoring, quality assurance, and scalable infrastructure in production.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in machine learning and deep learning for speech or language, including experience with neural network architectures and model training pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) for building, training, and evaluating generative models.
• Experience with NLP / speech technologies such as ASR, TTS, language models, and prompt or instruction tuning for production use cases.
• Background in data engineering for ML, including dataset preparation, labeling, cleaning, and handling large-scale audio/text corpora.
• Familiarity with cloud and on-premise deployment, containers (Docker), and basic MLOps practices for monitoring and maintaining models in production.
• Ability to design rigorous evaluation methodologies, build metrics, and run experiments on real-world conversational workloads.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment in Dubai, collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and customer teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of Arabic (especially Gulf dialects) or strong interest in Arabic-language AI is highly beneficial.
