Job summary

Halian is seeking a highly capable Full-Stack Engineer to join our Data & AI team in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on an AI-powered platform running in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, combining backend engineering with cloud infrastructure and DevOps.

You will own deployment pipelines, IaC, observability, security and cost optimization. You will collaborate with AI and frontend engineers to deliver scalable AI-driven products and services, ensuring reliability and high performance across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• 4–7 years of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps experience.
• Strong hands-on with Microsoft Azure services and cloud architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in backend development with Python, Node.js or TypeScript.
• Experience building microservices-based architectures and container platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for AI-powered apps.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions following modern practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration across components.
• Manage and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure and deployments.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Own CI/CD pipelines from build to release and rollback automation.
• Provision and manage development, testing, and production environments.
• Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across services.
• Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and prevent recurrences.
• Drive improvements in platform reliability, availability, and performance.
• Enforce cloud security best practices across networking, identity, secrets, and deployments.
