Job summary

Halian is seeking a Senior Azure Platform Engineer in Abu Dhabi to design, build, and scale enterprise-grade Azure cloud environments. This role requires strong expertise in Terraform and Azure AI services, focusing on secure and efficient cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in Azure engineering, capable of managing CI/CD pipelines, and developing cost optimization strategies. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Azure cloud engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Experience working with Azure AI services including OpenAI.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking and security architecture.
• Experience with API management platforms like APIM/Kong.
• Exposure to FinOps practices and cost optimisation strategies.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions.
• Strong problem-solving and system design capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure landing zone architectures for enterprise-scale environments.
• Build and manage Terraform-driven infrastructure to ensure consistency and reusability.
• Integrate and operationalise Azure AI services (OpenAI, AI Search, related services).
• Manage API lifecycle and connectivity using Azure APIM and/or Kong.
• Design secure and scalable network architectures.
• Implement FinOps strategies to monitor and optimise cloud spend.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks for performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
• Collaborate with application teams to support scalable AI and digital workloads.
