Job summary

Euro Mechanical in Abu Dhabi is seeking an AI Applications Engineer to own and expand its Azure-based AI platform. You will design, implement, and maintain data layers, integrations, and cloud infra while driving security, governance, and cost-efficiency.

You collaborate with IT, business units, and partners to identify automation opportunities and deliver production-ready solutions. You will lead development of AI assistants, retrieval-augmented generation, and integrations with enterprise

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or related field.
Minimum five years of hands-on cloud engineering, software development, AI, data engineering, or automation.
End-to-end ownership experience of a technology platform or production solution.
Strong hands-on Azure experience: compute, storage, networking, security, monitoring, governance.
Experience developing AI solutions using Azure Foundry, Copilot, enterprise LLMs, or similar services.
Knowledge of generative AI, AI assistants, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation, and prompt engineering.
Experience integrating apps with Dynamics 365 and other enterprise systems.
Proficiency in Python and SQL; API development and system integration skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate Euro Mechanical’s AI and application platform on Microsoft Azure.
Develop data layer, model-access layer, integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
Own platform post go-live: reliability, performance, security, cost efficiency.
Collaborate with delivery partners to transfer knowledge and capabilities.
Identify AI, automation, analytics, and process-improvement opportunities with business units.
Translate requirements into practical, measurable AI/automation solutions.
Develop AI assistants, document-processing solutions, and back-office automations.
Design and optimise Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions and prompts.
Create prototypes and convert use cases into secure, production-ready apps.
Monitor performance, usage, and cloud expenditure; ensure governance and security.
