ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Surface Preparation:

-Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and fixing cracks.

-Apply primers and sealers to prepare surfaces for the finishing coat.

·Painting:

-Select appropriate paint, stain, or other finishes according to hotel standards and specific job requirements.

-Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.

-Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve the desired color and texture.

·Maintenance and Repair:

-Perform touch-up painting and repair work as needed.

-Inspect painted surfaces for flaws and take corrective action when necessary.

-Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment.

·Safety and Compliance:

-Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

-Comply with local regulations and hotel policies regarding the use and disposal of paints and chemicals.

-Always use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

·Collaboration:

-Work closely with other members of the engineering team and other departments to coordinate work and minimize disruption to hotel operations.

-Assist with other maintenance and repair tasks as needed.

·Documentation:

-Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.

-Report any issues or concerns to the Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor promptly.

·Customer Service:

-Interact professionally and courteously with hotel guests and staff.

-Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints related to painting work.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

-Must be able to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.

-Must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoors and at heights.

-Must have the physical stamina and dexterity required for lifting, bending, and working in various conditions.

-Proficient in painting techniques, including brushing, rolling, and spraying.

-Ability to mix and match paints and finishes accurately.
