Job summary

Givaudan in Dubai is seeking a Laboratory Team Leader to guide the Fine Fragrance Creation & Application labs, ensuring seamless operations while supporting creative development and commercial teams.

You will supervise technicians, set priorities with sales and development, and provide expert technical support on formulation, stability testing and quality standards, all within EH&S guidelines. Join us to drive innovation and safety.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher education qualification in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant laboratory or technical experience.
• At least 2 years leading or supervising laboratory teams.
• Strong knowledge of fragrances formulation, application and stability testing.
• Understanding of ISO GMP EH&S requirements and laboratory best practices.
• Fluent English (oral and written).
• Leadership mindset to engage, motivate and develop others.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of the Application and Creation laboratories.
• Define priorities aligned with creative development and sales needs.
• Provide expert technical support to Creation, Development and Sales teams.
• Act as a key point of contact for specific customers or projects.
• Investigate technical issues related to stability or applications and develop tested solutions.
• Update, maintain and share technical documentation methodologies and protocols.
• Supervise, coach and mentor a team of laboratory technicians.
• Plan, organise and optimise team workload to meet business objectives.
• Support HR related processes including performance management, development and succession planning.
• Foster a positive collaborative team culture focused on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
