Job summary

Givaudan in Dubai, UAE, invites a Perfumery Laboratory Assistant to support perfumers with compounding and day-to-day lab operations in line with EH&S policies. Based in Media City, reporting to the Perfumery Laboratory Team Leader, the role is open-ended and 5 days a week with payroll processed by a third party.

The ideal candidate will have a chemistry degree, 1–2 years in a fragrance lab, good English, and strong time management to deliver accurate sampling, material checks, and compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a relevant discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in fragrance compounding laboratory or related environment.
• Knowledge of computer systems such as MS Office and ERP systems.
• Ability to adapt to daily laboratory work surrounded by constant smell of raw materials.
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language.
• Excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Understanding and executing the entire compounding process.
• Carrying out the sampling process optimally efficiently and cost effectively.
• Removing expired raw materials.
• Checking the quality of raw materials.
• Ensuring strict compliance to all the safety norms and practices maintenance of the laboratory.
• Being an active team player with an open mind for continuous improvement process.
