Job summary

Al Manar Electrical Installations, part of Al Manar Technical Contracting, is seeking a full‑time FLS Maintenance Engineer based in Abu Dhabi to operate, inspect, and maintain fire and life safety systems.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance of fire alarm panels, emergency lighting and pumps, performing routine tests, documenting activities, and coordinating with facility management to meet safety standards and codes.

Role Description

The FLS Maintenance Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, responsible for the ongoing operation, inspection, and maintenance of fire and life safety systems in residential and commercial buildings. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventive and corrective maintenance on fire alarm panels, emergency lighting, fire pumps, and related electrical components, as well as troubleshooting and repairing system faults. The role involves conducting routine system tests, documenting maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with local codes and safety regulations, and coordinating with facility management and other engineering teams. The FLS Maintenance Engineer will review technical drawings and equipment manuals, support installation and commissioning activities when required, and provide recommendations to improve system reliability and performance. Also will be managing the PPM schedules and client coordination.

This position requires consistent on-site presence at client locations and adherence to company safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for fire and life safety systems and associated building services.
• Candidates should possess applied Maintenance Engineering skills, including diagnosing technical issues, interpreting engineering drawings, and implementing effective maintenance solutions.
• Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance skills, with experience planning, scheduling, and executing routine inspections and system checks to minimize downtime.
• Candidates should possess Electrical Maintenance skills related to fire alarm systems, control panels, wiring, and power supply components within FLS infrastructure.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Experience in fire alarm, fire fighting, and life safety systems within residential or commercial facilities in the UAE
• Knowledge of relevant safety codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, with a strong focus on workplace safety practices. ADCD
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals, prepare maintenance reports, and communicate clearly with clients and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
