Job summary

Etihad Airways is seeking a Flight Analyst to join Revenue Management and maximize revenue across our global network through intelligent inventory management, forecasting, and performance analysis.

You will turn data into action, influence strategic decisions, and collaborate with commercial and operations teams to deliver insights and reporting that drive profitability.

This is a commercially minded role requiring strong analytics and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics, Business, Statistics or a numerate discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years in travel industry, 2 years in Revenue Management/Commercial Sales/Analytics.
• Experience in Inventory Management and RM systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Forecast no-show and cancellation trends across routes.
• Optimize overbooking strategies to maximise revenue while balancing guest experience and denied boarding costs.
• Leverage PROS and multiple data sources to identify trends and recommend inventory actions.
• Manage inventory during peak travel periods using market insights and seasonal demand patterns.
• Monitor forward booking trends and identify opportunities to improve demand forecasting.
• Analyse route performance and highlight deviations from expected demand patterns.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, Market and Group teams to correct forecast imbalances and unlock revenue opportunities.
• Produce insightful reporting and analysis showing performance trends and commercial impact.

What You'll Do

Drive Revenue Through Smart Inventory Management

• Forecast no-show and cancellation trends across assigned routes.
• Optimize overbooking strategies to maximize revenue while balancing guest experience and denied boarding costs.
• Leverage PROS and multiple data sources to identify trends and recommend inventory actions.
• Manage inventory during peak travel periods using market insights, historical trends, and seasonal demand patterns.

Influence Network Performance

• Monitor forward booking trends and identify opportunities to improve demand forecasting.
• Analyze route performance and highlight deviations from expected demand patterns.
• Partner closely with Revenue Management, Market, and Group teams to correct forecast imbalances and unlock revenue opportunities.
• Provide critical insights to support commercial decision-making across the network.

Collaborate Across the Business

• Work closely with Network Operations and Airport Managers to proactively manage flights where denied boarding is anticipated.
• Develop practical solutions that balance operational efficiency, customer experience, and commercial outcomes.
• Act as a key Revenue Management point of contact for route performance discussions.

Deliver Data-Driven Improvements

• Design and implement inventory management approaches for initiatives such as redemption and non-revenue travel.
• Evaluate revenue dilution risks and recommend optimal inventory strategies.
• Produce insightful reporting and analysis that demonstrates performance trends and commercial impact.

What We're Looking For

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to interpret large datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Commercial acumen and a passion for aviation and revenue optimization.
• Experience in Revenue Management, pricing, forecasting, aviation analytics, or related commercial functions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decisions across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the travel industry, 2 years of which should have been in a Revenue Management / Commercial Sales / Analytic environment.
• Previous experience in Inventory Management and in working with Revenue Management systems would be beneficial.
