Job summary

NAFFCO Careers in Dubai, UAE, seeks an Estimation Engineer - Firefighting to prepare and review technical and commercial estimates for firefighting and life-safety systems. Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Fire Protection, or Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
• 2–6 years' experience in estimation for firefighting, sprinkler, and life-safety systems.
• Experience with UAE/GCC projects and familiarity with local authority requirements is preferred.
• Proven experience preparing BOQs, tender submissions, and vendor comparisons.
• Valid UAE driving licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and BOQs for firefighting systems.
• Develop unit rates, labour productivity assumptions, and price build-ups.
• Prepare commercial submissions, take-off documents, and tender clarifications.
• Review design drawings, specifications, and manufacturer data for NFPA/BS compliance.
• Coordinate with design and project teams during the tender phase.
• Obtain vendor quotations, compare scopes, and assess technical compliance.
• Develop subcontractor scope of work and tender packages for procurement.
• Maintain supplier and subcontractor rate databases and approved vendor lists.
• Submit estimation reports and risk registers to bidding team and management.
• Support handover of estimate data to project controls and procurement.
