Job summary

Ideal candidates have a degree in mechanical or fire protection engineering, 5+ years of estimation experience, and strong NFPA knowledge, plus proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and estimating tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection system estimation.
• Proven experience with NFPA codes and local fire safety regulations.
• Proficiency in estimation software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, and specialized cost estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project blueprints and specifications to accurately quantify fire protection system materials and labor.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and related safety equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand scope and provide competitive bid proposals.
• Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors for materials and specialized services.
