Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI with 3–5 years in fire & life safety or related fields.
• Strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills on safety systems.
• Experience reading layouts, schematics and technical docs.
• Hands-on experience with electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
• Fluent in English with good teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and troubleshoot Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting systems as per drawings and work orders.
• Ensure installations follow approved layouts, schematics and project requirements.
• Record deviations from drawings and escalate issues promptly to avoid delays.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on customer installations.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot to restore system performance.
• Maintain service records and report recurring issues to engineers.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and site safety requirements.
• Complete work within timelines while maintaining quality.
• Coach and mentor junior technicians and assist with troubleshooting.

Our client in the fire protection industry is seeking skilled Fire & Life Safety Advanced Technicians to install, test, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting systems in accordance with approved contract drawings, specifications, and service agreements. The successful candidates will ensure systems are installed and maintained to the highest quality standards while supporting reliable and safe operation.

The ideal candidates will have hands‑on experience with fire and life safety systems, strong technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to mentor junior technicians while ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and troubleshoot Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting systems in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and work orders.
• Ensure all installations are carried out as per approved layout drawings, schematics, and project requirements.
• Record deviations between drawings and site conditions and escalate issues promptly to avoid project delays.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on customer installations in accordance with service agreements.
• Diagnose equipment faults and carry out effective troubleshooting to restore system performance.
• Maintain accurate service records and report recurring equipment issues to engineers.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and site safety requirements.
• Complete assigned work within scheduled timelines while maintaining quality standards.
• Coach and mentor junior technicians by providing technical guidance, reviewing work quality, and assisting with troubleshooting activities.
• Coordinate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and site teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Diploma (3-year course) in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or ITI (2-year course) with a minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in Fire & Life Safety, Security, BMS, ELV, or AV systems.
• Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems.
• Experience working with Fire Fighting Systems.
• Excellent hands-on experience with electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills.
• Ability to read and interpret layout drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
