FinTech Operations Lead for UAE Platform

Job summary

Wahed seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead the operational build‑out of its UAE wealth‑management platform. You will own end‑to‑end delivery, driving new features, integrations and process improvements alongside Investments and Operations teams.

You will shape scalable operating models, design procedures, and oversee controls, reconciliations and incident management to support rapid growth while ensuring regulatory readiness and alignment with Shariah‑compliant finance principles.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in fintech/platform operations, wealth‑management, or payments/banking operations.
• Hands‑on experience running operations for a digital platform with money flows, monitoring health and resolving issues.
• Experience leading integrations and product launches end to end with central and remote teams.
• Delivery track record in regulated environments; familiarity with UAE frameworks (onshore/DIFC/ADGM) or UK FCA is a plus.
• Ability to design and document operational processes, controls and audit trails from scratch.
• Natural problem owner, ownership of issues across teams to fix at source.
• Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and responsibility for flows and reconciliations.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize in a fast‑paced lean team.
• Data‑driven with comfort using AI‑native tools to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of payments and banking initiatives and integrations with strong reconciliation and controls.
• Scope requirements, coordinate with central product and engineering, and drive launches and end‑to‑end integrations.
• Ensure new capabilities are operationally ready and continually improve processes and service standards.
• Design and embed scalable operating procedures, controls, reconciliations, and audit trails for growth.
• Build scalable, controlled operational processes and incident management with external partners.
• Manage relationships with banking, payment, custody, technology and KYC partners to maintain SLAs.
• Collaborate with compliance, risk, legal, finance, product and engineering on launch planning.
• Use data and feedback to automate and strengthen controls for Wahed’s UAE growth.
