Job summary

Aquanav in Abu Dhabi is seeking a talented Sous Chef to assist the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations, food preparation, menu planning and ensuring top quality and sanitation.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a fine dining sous role, a track record of creative menu items, strong cooking techniques and the ability to work under pressure; fluency in English.

Salary is 1500 USD per month tax-free, with Indian nationality preference.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment.
• Proven track record of creating unique and successful menu items.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients and kitchen equipment.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Help create and implement new menu items.
• Oversee daily food preparation and service.
• Train and lead kitchen staff in best practices for food preparation.
• Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and served at appropriate temperatures.
• Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operations.
