Job summary

athGADLANG in Dubai seeks a Senior Accountant cum Financial Controller to oversee financial operations, accounting, reporting, budgeting, compliance and planning in a trading/manufacturing/project-based setting.

You will lead end-to-end finance activities, ensure accurate statements, manage cash flow and implement robust controls while driving improvements across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA/ACCA/CPA/CMA or equivalent preferred.
• 8–12 years of accounting/finance experience with 3–5 years in senior leadership.
• Experience in manufacturing, trading, or project-based businesses is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage accounting and finance operations end-to-end.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensure GL, AP, AR, fixed assets and inventory records are accurate.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
• Develop and implement financial controls and policies.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Drive process improvements and automation in finance.
• Lead and mentor accounting staff with KPIs.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant cum Financial Controller to oversee the company's financial operations, accounting functions, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and financial planning activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial leadership skills, excellent analytical capabilities, and experience managing end-to-end finance functions within a trading, manufacturing, or project-based business environment.
Description:
Financial Management & Control

• Lead and manage the company's accounting and finance operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inventory records.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
• Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to management.
• Analyze profitability by product, project, customer, and business unit.
• Support senior management with strategic financial insights and business decision-making.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and applicable financial standards.
• Manage VAT filings, corporate tax requirements, and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure timely completion of annual audits and statutory reporting.

Treasury & Banking

• Manage banking relationships, facilities, guarantees, and financing requirements.
• Monitor collections, payments, and cash management activities.
• Oversee credit control and debtor management processes.

Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance department.
• Establish KPIs and monitor team performance.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 8-12 years of accounting and finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.
• Experience within manufacturing, electronics, electrical products, trading, construction-related, or project-based businesses is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
