Job summary

Client of PlaceUp in Dubai is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the Finance Accounting team and ensure accurate monthly and annual closings of P&L and balance sheet. The role involves strong cash flow, reconciliations, and MIS reporting for management.

The ideal candidate will oversee GL entries, VAT filings, corporate tax, audits, and liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure accurate accounting and timely reporting. Prior experience in UAE accounting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small finance accounting team
• Proficient in monthly/annual closing of P&L and balance sheet
• Strong reconciliation and MIS reporting skills

Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing the Finance Accounting team consisting of 2 other resources
• Preparation of monthly and annual closing of profit and loss account amp balance sheet
• Monitoring receivables and payables
• Preparing regular MIS analysis and reports for the management
• Overseeing the passing of various GL entries
• Liaison with customers amp suppliers for the reconciliations of accounts
• Passing of monthly depreciation amortization amp deduction entries
• Running and checking of trial balance
• Vouching and proper allocation of receipts in order to generate debtors ageing
• Preparation of audit schedules
• Verification and vouching of payments to Suppliers
• Monthly Bank reconciliations amp liaison with the bank when required
• Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT filings and corporate Tax
• Other ad-hoc reports
