Job summary

Business Umbrella in Dubai seeks a high-caliber CFO/VP of Finance to lead corporate finance for the firm and its international portfolio. You will oversee daily accounting, close monthly/annual statements, and mentor Senior Accountants while turning data into dashboards and forecasts for the board.

You will design a treasury and investment framework, perform due diligence for acquisitions or JV setups, and manage liquidity across UAE, UK, and Türkiye, with emphasis on IFRS, UAE Tax, and FX risk

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of corporate finance leadership required.
• 3–5 years as CFO/VP Finance in CSP, consultancy, wealth mgmt or PE.
• Active CFA or CPA/CA/ACCA with MBA in Finance.
• Strong UAE financial ecosystem knowledge and IFRS/Central Bank rules.

Directly supervise, mentor, and review the daily work, journal entries, and ledger reconciliations managed by the Senior Accountants. Take full accountability for error-detection, forensic verification, and closing the monthly/annual financial statements for the firm and its corporate client portfolio. Turn raw accounting data into dynamic, executive-ready dashboards, cash flow forecasts, and runway projections for the CEO and Board. Formulate and execute a risk-managed corporate treasury framework to invest surplus company capital safely into productive vehicles such as diversified investment portfolios, income-generating assets, or expansion funds. Conduct rigorous valuation modeling, unit economics assessments, and financial due diligence for corporate acquisitions, new branch setups, or joint ventures. Manage liquidity and cash flow cycles across international entities in UK and Türkiye mitigating foreign exchange (FX) risks and structuring clean capital repatriation pathways. Partner directly with the Tax and Legal functions to ensure total compliance with UAE Corporate Tax and IFRS frameworks. Routinely analyze the margins of core service lines to optimize pricing models and eliminate revenue leakage. Maintain and leverage direct relationships with corporate banking partners to secure institutional wealth management tools and bypass compliance roadblocks.

Candidate Profile:

Minimum 12-15 years of total corporate finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a CFO or VP of Finance role within a Corporate Service Provider (CSP), Management Consultancy, Wealth Management, or Private Equity environment. Must have an active background in M&A, investment management, or corporate asset deployment. Proven experience working within a lean corporate structure where you are comfortable diving into the accounting software (Tally, Zoho, Xero) alongside your team. In-depth knowledge of the UAE financial ecosystem, Central Bank parameters, and local regulatory reporting. Mandatory: An active CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation, OR a top-tier accounting credential (CPA, CA, ACCA) paired with an MBA in Finance from a globally recognized institution. The Dynamic Executioner: Someone who possesses the high-level financial intelligence to pitch investment strategies to the board, but also has the tactical discipline to sit down with a Senior Accountant and ensure the books match perfectly.
