Job description

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full spectrum of financial operations across two legal entities within the UAE
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards and internal policies
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, working closely with senior stakeholders to align financial plans with business objectives
• Monitor financial performance and provide insightful variance analysis and recommendations
• Ensure strong internal controls are in place and continuously improved across both entities
• Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and funding requirements to support business continuity
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance with local requirements
• Manage VAT and other statutory reporting obligations within the UAE
• Support commercial decision making by delivering clear and actionable financial insights
• Review and optimise financial processes, systems, and reporting frameworks to drive efficiency
• Act as a key point of contact for finance related matters across the business, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, process improvements, and ongoing operational enhancements
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all documentation is audit ready

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified accountant such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
• Proven experience within the UAE, with a strong understanding of local regulations and compliance requirements
• 5+ years of experience within a similar finance / accounting role
• Currently based in the UAE
• Experience operating at Finance Manager level or similar within a professional services, consultancy, or project based environment (Project Management, Engineering, Design, or Architectural Consultancy)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with financial reporting standards
• Demonstrated ability to manage end to end finance operations independently
• Comfortable working in a role with broad responsibilities and a high level of ownership
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
