Job summary

Confidential in Ajman, UAE seeks a Finance Manager to lead the finance and accounting function with a focus on project-based financial management, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, cost allocation, and year-end closing.

You will manage accounting operations, monitor project cash flows, lead budgeting, analyze variances, and prepare financial statements. Coordinate with external auditors and supervise the finance team across ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have 8+ years of UAE experience in road construction or contracting.
• Proven experience with contracts and government or semi-government entities.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete finance and accounting operations of the company.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage project cash flow.
• Lead annual budgeting and prepare financial forecasts.
• Monitor performance against budgets and analyze variances.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L).
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audits.
• Lead and supervise the finance team across projects.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and cost allocation.
• Manage work-in-progress accounting and project cost allocation.
• Assess project profitability and financial performance.
• Oversee receivables, payables, and working capital.
• Collaborate with Project, Commercial, QS, Procurement, and Management teams.
• Provide financial reports and analysis for CFO and senior management.
• Maintain financial controls and compliance; manage government/semigovernment contracts.

We are hiring: Finance Manager

Location: Ajman, UAE

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager with a strong background in the UAE road construction and contracting industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall finance and accounting function, with particular focus on project based financial management, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, cost allocation, and yearend closing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete finance and accounting operations of the company.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage project and contracting cash flow.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare financial forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and analyze variances.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.
• Manage month end and year end closing activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support the annual audit process.
• Lead, supervise, and manage the accounting and finance team.
• Monitor project budgets, project costs, and cost allocation across ongoing projects.
• Manage work in progress accounting and ensure proper allocation of project related costs.
• Monitor project profitability, cost variances, and overall financial performance.
• Manage receivables, payables, payment schedules, and working capital.
• Coordinate closely with Project, Commercial, Quantity Surveying, Procurement, and Management teams.
• Prepare financial reports, management reports, forecasts, and financial analysis for the CFO and senior management.
• Maintain strong financial controls, accounting procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Support financial management of contracts related to government and semi-government entities.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of UAE experience in the road construction / road contracting industry.
• Strong experience in finance and accounting within a contracting environment.
• Proven experience working on contracts and projects for government or semi-government entities.
• Strong experience in contracting and project cash flow management.
• Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong experience in project cost allocation and work-in-progress accounting.
• Experience in preparing Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Strong experience in month-end and year-end closing.Strong understanding of project-based accounting, cost control, and contracting financial management.
• Immediate availability or the ability to join immediately will be an advantage.
