Job summary

Miral Experiences is seeking a highly experienced Finance Business Partner – Capex to manage capital expenditure, fixed assets, and investment governance. The role ensures IFRS compliance, robust asset governance, and insightful reporting to support strategic investments across the organization.

You will oversee asset lifecycle, CWIP, and capex trackers, while partnering with leadership on budgeting and financial close processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7–10 years of progressive finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead fixed asset lifecycle activities: capitalization, depreciation, impairment, disposals.
• Oversee CWIP, asset tagging, reconciliation, and data integrity in ERP.
• Prepare and review Capex business cases, budgets, and forecasts.
• Develop financial models (NPV/IRR) and perform variance analysis.
• Ensure ICFR controls for Capex and asset-related processes and coordinate with auditors.

About the Role

Miral Experiences is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner – Capex to lead and manage finance operations related to capital expenditure (Capex), fixed asset lifecycle management, investment governance, and financial reporting.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring strong financial control, compliance with IFRS standards, robust asset governance, and insightful analysis that supports strategic investment decisions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Fixed Assets Management & Governance

• Lead the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, transfers, depreciation, impairment reviews, and disposals.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and ensure data integrity within Oracle ERP.
• Oversee asset tagging, tracking, and periodic physical verification programs across all entities.
• Manage Capital Work in Progress (CWIP) and ensure timely capitalization of projects.
• Perform reconciliations between physical assets and financial records.

Capex Planning & Investment Analysis

• Lead the preparation and review of Investment Committee business cases and financial evaluations.
• Develop and review financial models, including NPV, IRR, payback, sensitivity, and scenario analysis.
• Monitor approved investments against budgets, forecasts, and actual spend.
• Conduct Post-Implementation Reviews (PIR) and provide recommendations to support future investment decisions.
• Support leadership with capital allocation and strategic investment planning.
• Ensure accurate and timely Capex and fixed asset reporting.
• Review monthly depreciation, asset schedules, reconciliations, and Capex trackers.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Perform detailed general ledger reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Deliver insightful variance analysis and management reporting.

Audit, Compliance & Controls

• Own ICFR controls related to Capex and fixed assets.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal policies, governance frameworks, and audit requirements.
• Lead interactions with internal and external auditors.
• Drive sustainable remediation plans for audit findings.
• Maintain complete documentation and audit trails for asset additions, transfers, and disposals.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead Capex budgeting, forecasting, and lifecycle management across multiple entities.
• Review and challenge Capex submissions to ensure accuracy and alignment with business priorities.
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance and drive corrective actions where necessary.
• Support stakeholders in optimizing capital allocation and investment prioritization.
• Maintain Capex trackers and reporting dashboards across Oracle and OneStream.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities to automate asset management and reporting processes.
• Enhance Oracle Fusion/ERP asset modules and reporting capabilities.
• Introduce digital asset tracking solutions and management dashboards.
• Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen controls.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of progressive finance experience.

• IFRS Accounting Standards
• Experience managing asset tracking, tagging, and governance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

• CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Experience within the GCC region.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP/Fusion.
• Exposure to Investment Committee governance and approval frameworks.
• Experience within audit, risk, and ICFR environments.
