Job summary

Miral Experiences in Abu Dhabi seeks an Internal Compliance Associate to support the Internal Compliance Manager in day-to-day compliance activities across our attractions. You will conduct reviews, stock and cash audits, and operational checks to ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.

The role collaborates with multiple departments, performing investigations, monitoring ride safety procedures, and helping develop dashboards using Tableau/Power BI to strengthen our compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• Pursuing or completed CIA qualification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surprise cash counts, float verifications, and vault audits across parks and attractions (as applicable).
• Perform periodic inventory counts within retail outlets and warehouses.
• Review F&B and Retail refunds, voids, and wastage reports.
• Support investigations related to compliance concerns and policy violations.
• Perform random operational checks to ensure safety procedures are followed by ride operators.
• Monitor ride maintenance schedules and verify maintenance activities.
• Develop and enhance compliance dashboards and monitoring tools.
• Review compliance data, identify exceptions, and prepare reports.

Role Overview

The Internal Compliance Associate will support the Internal Compliance Manager in the day-to-day execution of compliance activities across Miral-owned and operated attractions. This role plays a key part in monitoring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and operational controls while identifying opportunities for improvement and strengthening the overall compliance culture.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across various departments, conducting compliance reviews, investigations, stock and cash audits, operational checks, and compliance monitoring activities to ensure adherence to organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct surprise cash counts, float verifications, and vault audits across parks and attractions.
• Perform periodic inventory counts within retail outlets and warehouse locations.
• Conduct stock checks and review wastage controls within Food & Beverage operations.
• Review and analyze F&B and Retail refunds, voids, and wastage reports.
• Support investigations relating to compliance concerns and policy violations.
• Perform random operational checks to ensure ride operators adhere to established safety procedures.
• Monitor ride maintenance schedules and verify that maintenance activities are completed as required.
• Collaborate with the Internal Compliance team to develop and enhance compliance dashboards and monitoring tools.
• Review compliance data, identify exceptions, and prepare reports on findings.
• Support the preparation of accurate and timely compliance reports.
• Assist with departmental administration and documentation.
• Travel between parks, attractions, warehouses, and operational facilities as required.
• Support compliance initiatives and special projects assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• Completed or currently in the final stages of obtaining the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification.

Preferred

• One or more of the following professional certifications:
• CISA
• ACFE
• CIMA
• ACCA

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Internal Audit, Compliance, or a related assurance function.

Preferred

• Experience within a Big 4 audit firm.
• Experience in hospitality, leisure, entertainment, theme parks, or related industries.
• Strong attention to detail and investigative mindset.
• Naturally inquisitive with a proactive approach to identifying risks and improvements.
• Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
• Experience using Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including:
