Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced accounting and finance professional in Dubai to maintain books, prepare financial statements, and strengthen controls. The role covers accounts payable/receivable, ERP systems, and compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax in an international trading context.

You will manage international payments, bank reconciliations, cash flow, and liaise with banks for financing and KYC documentation, contributing to accurate reporting and decision support.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification completed (CA, ACCA, or CPA).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 5 to 8 years experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in the UAE.
• Strong working knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and IFRS.
• Hands-on experience with accounting ERP software (Zoho Books).
• Experience in an international trading company is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare annual financial statements and weekly management reports.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to company financial policies.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.
• Process and track international payments, including foreign currency transfers.
• Manage bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and fund planning.
• Liaise with banks on account matters, trade finance, payment queries, KYC and documentation.
• Liaise with bank on purchase financing credit facilities, including utilization and settlement of loans.
• Ensure input costs are within the budgeted or published tariff rates.
• Handle UAE VAT filings and support Corporate Tax compliance and documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support independently the annual financial audit.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies such as DMCC for renewals of licenses and registrations and DMCC licence renewal requirements.
