Job summary

LSBU UAE is seeking a Faculty member in Data Analytics and/or Fintech to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across related disciplines. The role involves lectures, seminars, and practical sessions that connect academic theory with industry relevance.

You will collaborate with Course Leaders and module teams to support student learning, contribute to assessments, and uphold high academic standards in a British university setting.

Qualifications

• A PhD in Data Analytics, Fintech, Statistics, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years' relevant teaching experience, industry experience, or a combination of both in data analytics, financial analytics, fintech, statistics, or related areas.
• Proficiency in R/RStudio and Python for statistical modelling, analytics, and machine learning.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau for data visualisation.
• Proficiency in Excel and/or SPSS for statistical and financial data analysis.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Git/GitHub, and reproducible research tools such as R Markdown, Jupyter, or Colab.
• The ability to deliver engaging and effective teaching at higher education level.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting student learning and academic development.
• A commitment to academic excellence and student success.
• Knowledge of current developments within data analytics, fintech, statistics, finance, and related disciplines.

About the Role

As a Faculty member within the relevant academic discipline at LSBU UAE, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Data Analytics, Fintech, Statistics, Finance, and related fields.

You will deliver engaging lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops, and practical sessions that combine academic knowledge with industry relevance. Working closely with Course Leaders and module teams, you will support student learning, contribute to assessment activities, and help maintain the high academic standards expected of a British university.

This role is ideal for experienced academics and senior industry professionals who are passionate about data analytics, financial technology, statistical modelling, and applied learning, and who are committed to inspiring the next generation of data and finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

• Deliver lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops, and practical sessions in line with approved module specifications.
• Facilitate engaging and interactive learning experiences that promote student participation and achievement.
• Support students in developing subject knowledge, analytical skills, technical capabilities, and professional competencies.
• Deliver practical learning using tools and technologies relevant to data analytics, statistical modelling, and financial analysis.

Assessment & Student Support

• Prepare, review, and update teaching materials, presentations, practical exercises, and learning resources.
