Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer in the UAE to support daily operations, maintenance, and technical management of facilities, ensuring safety and efficiency across buildings and MEP systems.

The role requires handling preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring HSE compliance. Immediate joining is preferred, with vacancies in Al Ain and Dubai and a temporary 6-month renewable contract.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) required.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Facilities Management or MEP operations.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and building systems.
Must have own visa and be available to join immediately.
Willing to work in Al Ain or Dubai.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily facilities operations and maintenance activities.
Monitor MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire/life safety.
Conduct regular site inspections and identify maintenance or safety issues.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and service providers.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure standards are met.
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and regulations.
Prepare maintenance, inspection and technical reports.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, assets and work orders.
Support emergency maintenance and urgent facility requests.
Assist with minor facility improvements and refurbishment works.

The successful candidate will ensure that buildings, equipment, and MEP systems are maintained safely and efficiently and that maintenance issues are resolved promptly.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily facilities operations and maintenance activities.
Monitor MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire & life safety systems.
Conduct regular site inspections and identify maintenance or safety issues.
Coordinate and follow up on preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and maintenance service providers.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure work is completed according to required standards.
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
Prepare maintenance, inspection, and technical reports.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, assets, and work orders.
Support emergency maintenance and urgent facility requirements.
Assist with minor facility improvement, repair, and refurbishment works.
Ensure facilities remain safe, operational, and maintained to the required standards.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering, Building Maintenance, or MEP operations.
Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.
Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance.
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
Facilities/building maintenance experience is preferred.
Must have own valid visa.
Must be available to join immediately.
Must be willing to work in Al Ain or Dubai.
