Job summary

Le Méridien Fujairah is seeking an experienced Engineering & Facilities Manager to lead all engineering/maintenance operations for the hotel, safeguarding the building, grounds and assets. You will manage budgets, capital projects, preventive maintenance and energy conservation while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, coordination with vendors and an emergency response mindset to protect guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in engineering/maintenance; HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.
• Or an accredited 2-year degree with 1 year related experience and technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Manages the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems.
• Ensures regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards.
• Manages and controls heat, light and power and recommends energy conservation measures.
• Develops specifications for service contracts and administers contracts.
• Distributes preventive maintenance work orders and monitors completion quality.
• Oversees maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public spaces, restaurants and vehicles.
• Develops long-term preventive maintenance plans and asset protection.
• Contacts contractors for bids and oversees construction within budget.
• Builds relationships with city departments and vendors.
• Performs monthly property inspections and guest room/common area inspections.
