Job summary

AESG in Dubai is seeking a Facade Structural Engineer to join our cost management team on a Dubai-based project. You will lead facade design and supervision, ensuring high-quality outcomes for the client and compliance with local standards.

You will independently manage complex projects from detailed design through construction, provide guidance to junior staff, conduct inspections and testing, and stay current with facade market practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Architecture or Engineering required.
• 3-5 years minimum experience in facade design/engineering preferred.
• Experience leading junior team members and managing complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex projects from detailed design to construction and remedial work.
• Conduct facade diagnosis inspections and reporting.
• Conduct factory and site inspections and reporting, including testing and visual performance mock-ups.
• Generate repeat work opportunities with clients.
• Provide guidance and leadership to junior team members and line management.
• Update construction checklist templates.
• Stay up to date with facade market standards and codes of practice.
• Develop research publications.

AESG are currently recruiting a Facade Structural Engineer to join our cost management team to work on a project in Dubai.

As a Facade Structural Engineer, you will support project leader in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our client, and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.

Job Purpose

• Hold responsibility for the construction supervision projects.
• Manage both the technical and commercial aspects of projects.
• Provides guidance and leadership to more junior team members.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering or equivalent.
• Required minimum experience 3-5 years.
• Preferred façade design and engineering experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex projects and resolve complex project issues- at detail design and construction stage and remedial of existing projects.
• Conduct Façade diagnosis inspections and reporting.
• Conduct factory and site inspections and reporting, including testing and visual performance mock-ups.
• Generating multiple instances of repeat work with clients.
• Provide guidance and leadership to more junior team members and provide line management.
• Updating existing construction check list templates.
• Keeping up to date with the facade market/standards/code of practice.
• Development of research publications.
