Job summary

Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair is seeking a Captain in Food & Beverage to lead waitstaff, ensure exceptional service, and support the outlet manager in daily operations.

You will develop in-depth knowledge of the menu, assist guests with recommendations, and maintain service standards during peak periods with a focus on guest satisfaction and smooth outlet performance.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in hotel industry preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management.
• Passionate about food and guest service.
• Ability to work under high pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the activities of the Waiters and Busboys in assigned area.
• Perform all necessary tasks to service Food & Beverage according to the standard of performance manual of the Hotel.
• Acquire in depth knowledge of the Food & Beverage menu of the assigned Outlet in order to assist and provide advice to Guests.
• Practice good customer relations and attend to customer complaints and queries satisfactorily.
• Ensure the Outlet is set-up for service and supervise for a smooth operation.
• Direct and supervise the service team to ensure that all duties are performed as per standards.
• Ensure that all Employees have received adequate training to perform their duties.
• Ensure proper organization, planning and control of supplies and maintain concise record of all beverage stock in order to ensure that the required is available.
• Checks the mise en place prior and after the operation.
• Coordinates with the Headwaiter or Outlet Manager to plan and conduct skills training constantly.
• Performs other duties assigned by his / her supervisor
