Job summary

Green Grass Nursery seeks a qualified early years educator in Dubai to deliver child-led, EYFS-aligned learning, plan activities, and maintain a stimulating Reggio Emilia-inspired classroom.

You will work with an Arabic practitioner to deliver bilingual sessions, support settling in, communicate with parents, and keep accurate records while upholding safeguarding standards.

This full-time role runs Mon-Fri 7:30-3:30 with duties including assessments, reports, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, attested.
• CACHE Level 3 is the minimum requirement.
• Minimum two years’ relevant experience in a similar early years setting.
• Experience delivering EYFS curriculum, planning, observation and reporting.

Job Description

• Plan, prepare and deliver learning experiences that promote active, child-led learning in line with the EYFS framework and our in-the-moment planning approach.
• Implement planning in line with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice, the daily routine and the GGN philosophy.
• Prepare and maintain the classroom environment in line with our Reggio Emilia inspired approach, ensuring provision is inviting, accessible and purposeful.
• Provide a varied range of open-ended learning materials and resources across all areas of provision.
• Identify and select resources and teaching approaches that meet children’s varying needs, including children with additional learning needs.
• Introduce children to learning materials and equipment and supervise their safe use.
• Observe and assess each child’s learning and development, and produce individual, personalised reports.
• Maintain daily open communication with parents and lead parent-teacher meetings each term.
• Support positive behaviour by establishing age‑appropriate expectations and applying consistent, respectful strategies in line with the GGN Behaviour Policy.
• Work alongside the Arabic practitioner in the room to deliver the bilingual programme throughout the daily routine.
• Support children through settling in, mealtimes, nappy changing and toileting, rest periods and transitions between activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe and healthy learning environment at all times.
• Record accidents and incidents accurately and inform the branch nurse when medical attention is required.
• Follow all safeguarding and child protection procedures and report any concern immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Participate in training, staff meetings and nursery events.
• Communicate regularly with administration, colleagues and parents regarding children’s progress and needs.
• Maintain confidentiality on all matters relating to children, families and staff.
• Keep up to date with developments in early years practice and adapt planning and activities accordingly.
• Inspect classroom resources, record damaged or lost materials and keep the classroom inventory updated, with a full sign-off in August, December and June each year.
• Keep accurate records including attendance, timesheets and classroom folders.
• Maintain child‑centred displays and bulletin boards that reflect real classroom experiences, updated at least once per term.
• Use the Parent App, or any other platform approved by GGN, for documentation, tracking and parent communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, attested. CACHE Level 3 is the minimum requirement.
• Minimum two years’ relevant experience in a similar early years setting.
• Proven experience delivering an enriched EYFS curriculum.
• Experience in planning, observation, assessment and reporting in line with the EYFS.
• Strong understanding of EYFS standards and child development.
