Job summary

Green Grass Nursery in Dubai seeks an Early Childhood Arabic specialist to deliver language experiences integrated into daily routines. You will create an Arabic-rich classroom and work with the English practitioner to deliver a bilingual programme.

The role requires native Arabic, English proficiency, and 2+ years of EYFS experience in the UAE. You will engage with families and support safeguarding and classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or CACHE Level 3 Diploma, attested.
• Minimum two years’ EYFS experience in the UAE.
• Native Arabic speaker with proficient English (spoken and written).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Arabic learning experiences integrated into daily routines.
• Deliver Arabic through interactions, songs, rhymes, stories, small group activities and play.
• Prepare an Arabic-rich classroom with labelled resources reflecting language and culture.
• Support native and non-native Arabic speakers to access the programme.
• Build early Arabic listening, speaking and pre-literacy skills developmentally.
• Plan and support UAE National Day and other cultural celebrations.
• Observe and assess each child’s progress and contribute reports.
• Collaborate with the English practitioner to deliver a bilingual programme.
• Maintain open communication with parents and participate in termly meetings.
• Support positive behaviour using age-appropriate, respectful strategies.
• Assist children with settling, meals, nappy changes, toileting, rest, and transitions.
• Maintain a clean, safe and healthy learning environment at all times.
• Record accidents and incidents and inform the branch nurse as needed.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Participate in training, staff meetings and nursery events.
• Maintain confidentiality relating to children, families and staff.
• Keep accurate records including attendance and folders, and inventory in good order.
• Display child-centered visuals reflecting real classroom experiences updated each term.
• Use the Parent App for documentation, tracking and parent communication.

Job Description

• Plan, prepare and deliver Arabic language learning experiences that are integrated throughout the daily routine rather than taught as a separate lesson.
• Deliver Arabic through everyday interactions, songs, rhymes, stories, small group activities and play, in line with the EYFS framework and our in-the-moment planning approach.
• Prepare and maintain an Arabic-rich classroom environment, including labelling, print, books and resources that reflect the language and culture.
• Support both native and non-native Arabic speakers, adapting language and approach so that every child can access and enjoy the programme.
• Build early Arabic listening, speaking and pre-literacy skills in developmentally appropriate ways.
• Plan and support cultural celebrations and events, including UAE National Day and other occasions in the nursery calendar.
• Observe and assess each child’s progress in Arabic and contribute to individual, personalised reports.
• Work alongside the English practitioner in the room to deliver the bilingual programme as one shared routine.
• Maintain daily open communication with parents and contribute to parent-teacher meetings each term.
• Support positive behaviour by establishing age-appropriate expectations and applying consistent, respectful strategies in line with the GGN Behaviour Policy.
• Support children through settling in, mealtimes, nappy changing and toileting, rest periods and transitions between activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe and healthy learning environment at all times.
• Record accidents and incidents accurately and inform the branch nurse when medical attention is required.
• Follow all safeguarding and child protection procedures and report any concern immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Participate in training, staff meetings and nursery events.
• Maintain confidentiality on all matters relating to children, families and staff.
• Keep accurate records including attendance, timesheets and classroom folders, and keep classroom resources and inventory in good order.
• Maintain child-centred displays that reflect real classroom experiences, updated at least once per term.
• Use the Parent App, or any other platform approved by GGN, for documentation, tracking and parent communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or CACHE Level 3 Diploma or equivalent, attested.
• Minimum two years’ experience in an EYFS setting within the UAE.
• Native Arabic speaker.
• Proficiency in English, spoken and written.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
