Job summary

Al Futtaim Private Company (LLC) is seeking an experienced perioperative nurse to deliver safe nursing care, prepare theatres and assist surgeons throughout procedures. You will conduct patient assessments, maintain documentation and monitor patients across the perioperative journey within acute care or surgical settings.

Requirements include a BSN or equivalent, current BLS, 5+ years in the operating theatre, and scrub/circulating experience. ACLS preferred; UAE healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Current BLS Certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' Operating Theatre experience.
• Scrub or circulating theatre experience.
• Experience within an acute care hospital, surgical centre, or day surgery environment.
• Strong understanding of perioperative nursing and infection prevention.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience using EMR systems and clinical documentation platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective perioperative nursing care.
• Prepare operating theatres, instruments, equipment and consumables.
• Support surgeons and anaesthetists during surgical procedures.
• Conduct patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative journey.
• Scrub or circulate during procedures and maintain sterile fields.
• Ensure surgical safety checklist compliance and infection prevention standards.
• Participate in audits and continuing education programmes.
• Support theatre stock management and equipment maintenance.
