Job summary

Black Pearl is conducting a confidential executive search for a Senior Vice President - Power Infrastructure & Capital Projects in the UAE. The role leads a portfolio of major power and infrastructure capital projects, from long-term planning to delivery, governance, and handover.

The candidate will shape infrastructure priorities, oversee CAPEX, and manage senior stakeholders including regulators and EPC contractors, ensuring alignment with network reliability and expansion goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Strong experience in operations and maintenance within large-scale infrastructure or industrial environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams and multi-site operations.
• Strong understanding of asset management and maintenance strategies.
• Experience in budgeting, planning, and performance management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of major power, energy, and infrastructure capital projects.
• Drive long-term capital planning, project prioritization, and investment decisions.
• Determine infrastructure development requirements based on future capacity, demand, asset performance, and business priorities.
• Lead major projects across power generation, transmission, distribution, substations, grid infrastructure, and associated assets.
• Oversee projects from feasibility and concept development through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Establish strong portfolio governance, project controls, risk management, and performance frameworks.
• Provide executive oversight of CAPEX, budgets, schedules, contractors, consultants, and project performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering, project management, commercial, and technical teams.
• Manage senior relationships with regulators, authorities, developers, consultants, EPC contractors, and strategic partners.
• Ensure capital projects support long-term network reliability, capacity expansion, modernization, and operational requirements.
