Job summary

Mashreq seeks a Managing Director for FX & Commodities Trading to lead the bank's global FX and commodities trading activities, driving revenue while managing risk within approved limits.

You will provide senior leadership on pricing, liquidity, hedging, and product development across multiple markets and work closely with Sales, Risk, and Technology to enhance client solutions and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering or related discipline.
• Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the FX and commodities trading strategy aligned to Treasury & Global Markets priorities.
• Deliver sustainable revenue growth and risk-adjusted returns across approved FX and commodities trading books.
• Manage trading positions, liquidity, inventory, hedging and market risk within approved mandates and limits.
• Provide competitive pricing and execution support to Sales and client coverage teams.
• Oversee trading activities across spot, forwards, swaps, options, precious metals, energy and other approved commodities products.
• Monitor global macro trends, central bank actions, commodity supply-demand dynamics and geopolitical developments.
• Strengthening the Bank's market-making capability, client facilitation and liquidity access.
• Partner with Sales, Structuring, Risk, Operations and Technology to enhance products, execution channels and client solutions.
• Ensure strong governance, market conduct, supervision and control standards across the desk.
