Job summary

Mashreq seeks a Director to lead Fixed Income & Structured Credit Trading, overseeing execution, pricing and risk controls across bonds, sukuk and credit instruments. The role partners with Sales, Structuring and Research to deliver market-making and client solutions within governance standards.

The incumbent will drive revenue generation, manage trading positions, hedge effectively and maintain disciplined risk management in a fast-paced environment across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering or related; Master’s/MBA preferred.
• CFA, FRM, ACI Dealing Certificate or equivalent markets qualification preferred.
• Significant experience in fixed income trading, structured credit, credit markets or investment banking.
• Strong knowledge of bonds, sukuk, credit products, structured notes, credit-linked instruments, hedging and market-making.
• Good understanding of market risk, liquidity risk, valuation and trade lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Execute fixed income and structured credit trading activities per desk strategy and risk appetite.
• Contribute to revenue generation and risk-adjusted returns across trading books.
• Manage positions, inventory, hedging strategies within approved limits.
• Provide competitive pricing, liquidity and execution support to Sales and Structuring teams.
• Support trading across bonds, sukuk, credit products and structured instruments.
• Monitor market developments and macro factors affecting trading activity.
• Ensure trades are priced, executed, booked and monitored per procedures.
• Maintain governance and risk-control discipline across trading activities.
