Job summary

Confidential Company in Abu Dhabi seeks an audit professional to lead engagements from planning through reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and International Auditing Standards. You will assess risk, design procedures, and oversee execution to deliver clear, accurate findings.

You will supervise junior team members, manage budgets and timelines, and maintain strong client relationships as the primary contact on engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience performing external audits with high quality and independence.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and International Auditing Standards.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion, including risk assessment, execution of audit procedures, and final reporting.
• Ensure audits comply with International Auditing Standards and firm policies, maintaining high standards of quality and independence.
• Perform and review controls and substantive testing, including audits of consolidations and statutory accounts.
• Prepare and review audit documentation and deliverables, including reports for management.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact during engagements.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor junior team members, providing on‑the‑job training.
• Monitor project budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient and profitable delivery of services.
• Stay updated with changes in IFRS, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Semi‑Qualified CA/ACCA.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of external audit experience in a professional services firm, preferably with exposure to medium or large audits.
• Experience in the audit of the investment industry will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Auditing Standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team, managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Candidates with UAE experience and those who can join immediately are preferred.
