Job summary

Russell Bedford International in Dubai is seeking an Audit Senior to join our DIFC-based team. You will execute external and internal audit engagements, ensuring files are completed within engagement timelines and in line with firm standards.

The role requires a CA/ACCA/CPA qualification, 4–5 years UAE audit experience, and strong IFRS knowledge. Candidates based in the UAE with prior Big 4 or mid-tier experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS essential.
• Based in UAE with ability to work in DIFC office.

Responsibilities

• Meet client commitments on external and internal audit engagements by executing audits and completing files within engagement timelines.
• Plan external and internal audits, including budgeting, staffing planning and participation in audit planning meetings.
• Coordinate audit engagements from planning to completion with required quality and within timeframes.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and client staff involved.
• Delegate to junior team members and provide on-the-job training and feedback.
• Demonstrate firm values of teamwork, client focus, leadership and enthusiasm.

Audit Senior - Job description

We are looking for a fully qualified CA, ACCA or CPA to join our team in DIFC as an Audit Senior

• You will be expected to meet client commitments on external and internal audit engagements by executing the audit and completing audit files within the specified timeframe of the engagement


• You will be required to perform specific audit engagements to the high standard of quality expected of employees of the firm, whilst demonstrating the firm values of: working as a team, focusing on our clients and targets, being a leader, and behaving with pride and enthusiasm and success for and through our people


• You will be assisting with the planning of external and internal audits, including budgeting, staffing planning and participation in audit planning meetings


• You will be coordinating the audit engagement from planning to completion within the stipulated time frame and with the required expected level of quality


• You will be developing strong working relationships with the client and the client staff involved


• You will be delegating to junior team members, provide on the job training and provide feedback.

Requirements:

• CA/ACCA/CPA (or equivalent) qualification


• Must be currently based in the UAE and must have a minimum of 4-5 years of external audit experience gained with a mid-tier or one of the Big 4 audit firms in the UAE


• Must have in-depth knowledge of IFRS


• Preference will be given to candidates that are currently working in an audit firm


• The ability to build strong client knowledge and act as an extension to the client


• The ability to liaise and coordinate effectively with members of the team and other service lines across the firm
