Job summary

Kerzner International is seeking an Assistant Manager, Events & Group Sales to drive group and event business at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort in Dubai. You will manage client relationships, coordinate event requirements, and maximize revenue while upholding service standards.

The role requires a degree in Accounting/Finance and 2+ years in accounts payable or general accounting, preferably in hospitality. Proficiency in SUN/Opera/SAP/Oracle and Microsoft Office is essential, with strong accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and hotel accounting systems (SUN, Opera, SAP, Oracle).
• Accuracy and attention to detail essential.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable processing and invoice verification in a hospitality setting.
• Code and post invoices accurately in the accounting system.
• Ensure invoices are approved before payment and properly filed.
• Maintain filing systems and assist auditors as needed.
• Support month-end closing activities and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve payment discrepancies.
• Protect company assets and comply with policies.
