Job summary

ABU ALNAGA CONTRACTING is seeking an experienced Estimation & Quantity Surveyor for high-rise building construction. The role involves managing quantity take-offs, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and commercial monitoring to ensure project profitability and timely delivery.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, 3–7 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in estimation and quantity surveying.
• Experience in high-rise building construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates for construction works.
• Prepare and review BOQs, rate analysis, and tender pricing.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Measure completed works and prepare quantity records.
• Prepare and evaluate variations, additional works, and claims.
• Monitor project costs against the approved budget.
• Assist in preparation and evaluation of interim payment applications and subcontractor payments.
• Maintain proper records of quantities, costs, variations, and contractual documents.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Planning Engineer, Site Engineers, Procurement, and subcontractors.
• Identify quantity and scope discrepancies between drawings, BOQs, and site requirements.
• Support final account preparation and project close-out.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; knowledge of quantity surveying/estimation software is an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction contracts, variations, and subcontractor management.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
