Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor in the UAE to join the Estimation Department. The role focuses on quantity take-offs, tender review, and cost estimation, with coordination across internal teams to ensure accurate inputs for tender submissions.

Responsibilities include reviewing tender documents for gaps, assisting with RFQs and rate build-ups, and performing comprehensive take-offs to align BOQ with drawings and specifications. UAE experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 3–5 years UAE experience in QS/Estimation/Tendering.
• Strong BOQ analysis, quantity take-offs, and tender documentation.
• Proficient with MS Excel, AutoCAD, and Planswift for take-offs.

We are a diversified main contractor in the UAE seeking a skilled Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join our Estimation Department, with a strong focus on quantity take-offs and tender document review.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and ensure tender document integrity.
• Support all activities related to cost estimation and tender preparation.
• Coordinate with internal departments to complete estimation inputs for tendering.
• Review tender documents to identify gaps, discrepancies, and missing information.
• Assist Estimation Engineers with Tender Inquiry Forms, quantification, RFQ preparation, rate build-up calculations, Specification Review Matrix, and identifying value engineering opportunities.
• Execute full quantity take-offs by preparing a take-off plan, defining scope inclusions/exclusions, quantifying architectural, structural, and special items, and identifying mismatches between the BOQ, drawings, and specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in QS/Estimation/Tendering (UAE experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of BOQ analysis, quantity take-offs, and tender documentation.
• Proficient in MS Excel and take-off software (AutoCAD, Planswift, etc.).
