Job summary

Howco Group in the United Arab Emirates seeks a senior Estimator to lead turnkey quotations for oilfield equipment. You will interpret customer specifications, define processes and resources, and manage bids to meet project requirements.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree and at least 10 years of estimation experience in manufacturing, with strong CNC machining knowledge and experience with ISO/BS standards. On-site in Sharjah, with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree / Diploma in Mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years estimation experience in similar role in manufacturing industry.
• Hands on experience of manufacturing engineering & CNC machines would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of API standards and relevant programming techniques, such as MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process all available RFQ information and develop a viable Turnkey quotation.
• Define all processes/resources (in-house and sub contract) required to produce the requested product along with the associated cost.
• Review and understand customer PO specifications and raise sales orders in ERP in accordance with customers purchase orders.
• Interpret engineering drawings to customer specifications.
• Use tools to develop bids, including use of industry best practice machining methods.
• Liaise with clients for clarifications and related actions through effective communication.
• Maintain commercial awareness by building good client relationship
• Raise non-conformance reports/customer complaints as required.
• Update Internal databases and other related systems as required.
• Adhere to the Howco Group HSE Environmental and Quality policies

Duties and Responsibilities

• Process all available RFQ information and develop a viable Turnkey quotation.
• Define all processes/resources (in-house and sub contract) required to produce the requested product along with the associated cost.
• Review and understand customer PO specifications and raise sales orders in ERP in accordance with customers purchase orders.
• Interpret engineering drawings to customer specifications.
• Use tools to develop bids, including use of industry best practice machining methods.

• Adhere to the Howco Group HSE Environmental and Quality policies
• Must have good knowledge in cost estimation of Oil &Gas Downhole Drilling and Wellhead products.
• Must have good knowledge of API 6A, 5CT, 7-1 product requirements.
• Sound knowledge required on CNC (Turning & Milling) machining and process times. Deep Hole Boring and honing machining knowledge would be an added advantage.
• Sound Knowledge is required to interpret Major OEM Customer drawings and specifications to ISO / BS 308 requirements, includinggeometric tolerances.
• Must be knowledgeable in raw material grades and specifications related to Oil, Gas and wellhead products
• Capability in applied mathematics and geometry.
• Good communication and analytical skills.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree / Diploma in the Mechanical engineering.
• Awareness of Howco and local country HSE policy
• Minimum of 10 years estimation experience in similar role in manufacturing industry
• Hands on experience of manufacturing engineering & CNC machines would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of HSE Procedures. 5S or Six Sigma is an advantage
• Knowledge of relevant programming techniques
• Knowledge of API standards
• Knowledge of relevant programming techniques, such as MS Word and
• Excel. Experience in Excel / Calculations / Proper Data recording.
