Job summary

GCC, Abu Dhabi-based contractor, seeks an Estimator Lead with 15+ years UAE experience to lead the estimation function for building and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on accurate, competitive pricing and reliable cost data to support tender submissions.

You will oversee the estimation team, review documents and costings, coordinate with technical and commercial groups, and ensure timely, compliant tender pricing and cost controls.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in estimation and tendering in UAE.
• Experience in building and infrastructure projects, preferably with a main contractor or EPC/construction company in UAE.
• Proven experience leading or supervising an estimation team.
• Strong knowledge of construction costs, methods, materials and market rates.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the estimation team for building and infrastructure projects.
• Review tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, pricing, and quantity take-offs.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Ensure accurate and competitive tender pricing.
• Identify cost risks, assumptions, and potential savings.
• Coordinate with technical, procurement, and commercial teams.
• Provide pricing recommendations to the Tender Manager.
• Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within tender deadlines.
• Maintain cost databases and historical pricing information.

Role Description

We are seeking a qualified Estimator Lead with a minimum of 15 years of UAE experience to lead and manage the estimation function for building and infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate, competitive, and commercially sound cost estimates are prepared in support of the company's tendering activities. The position is responsible for managing the estimation team and providing reliable pricing and cost information to the Tender Manager for tender submission and decision-making.
