Job summary

Confidential seeks an experienced ERP/Odoo professional to take day-to-day technical ownership of our ERP system in Dubai. You will work with senior developers to tackle complex tasks, trace bugs, and implement fixes independently.

The role requires strong skills across Python, PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript and Git, with good server/logs understanding and a proactive problem-solving approach. Fluency in English is assumed.

Qualifications

• Extensive Odoo/ERP development experience and ability to own bugs and fixes.
• Strong Python, PostgreSQL/SQL, XML, JavaScript and ORM modeling skills.
• Experience with Git, Linux/Ubuntu servers, logs, deployments and debugging.
• Translate requirements into concrete technical tasks and coordinate with senior developers.

Responsibilities

• Understand ERP/Odoo architecture, modules, customizations and workflows.
• Identify where functionality resides in Python, XML, JavaScript and PostgreSQL.
• Convert user requirements into clear technical tasks.
• Investigate bugs using code, logs, database and server logs.
• Handle straightforward development and fixes independently.
• Use Codex/AI tools to accelerate development while validating results.
• Identify root causes and escalate complex issues with evidence.
• Test fixes and ensure existing features are not broken.
• Suggest practical ERP improvements beyond fire-fighting.
• Manage basic Ubuntu/Linux server operations, logs, deployments and backups.
• Understand Git workflows and maintain development/testing/production pipelines.
• Coordinate daily ERP work and ensure task completion.

The ideal target range for a candidate with 13 years of genuine Odoo/ERP experience who can trace bugs, handle minor development and fixes independently, understand servers and logs, and clearly escalation complex technical tasks to senior developers.

We need a smart, energetic and technically strong female resource to take day-to-day technical ownership of our ERP system and coordinate with senior developers.

Core Responsibilities

• Understand the existing ERP/Odoo architecture, modules, customizations and business workflows.
• Understand where functionality exists in Python, XML, JavaScript and PostgreSQL.
• Receive requirements directly from users and convert them into clear technical tasks.
• Investigate bugs through code, logs, database and server instead of simply forwarding complaints.
• Handle straightforward development/fixes independently.
• Use Codex/AI coding tools to accelerate development and troubleshooting while understanding and validating the generated code.
• Identify the likely root cause and elevate complex issues to senior developers with proper technical findings.
• Test fixes and confirm that existing functionality is not affected.
• Suggest practical ERP improvements instead of only reacting to reported problems.
• Manage basic Ubuntu/Linux server operations, services, logs, deployments, backups and troubleshooting.
• Understand Git/version control and maintain proper development testing production workflow.
• Coordinate daily ERP work and follow issues through to completion.
