Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an Environmental Officer for offshore projects based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, environmental performance monitoring, and coaching site teams on waste management and spill response.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of offshore environmental experience, strong ISO 14001 knowledge, and valid BOSIET/FOET, HUET, H2S, and Offshore Medical certifications.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of environmental experience, offshore construction preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and environmental monitoring.
• Valid offshore certifications (see below) are required or advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and guidance to operations and maintenance personnel on new procedures and best practices, and monitor waste management.
• Conduct regular water quality testing and analysis to ensure regulatory and quality standards.
• Oversee the Detailed Engineering scope delivery with engineering team support.
• Oversee QA/QC processes, inspections, and third‑party checks.
• Support offshore environmental initiatives and regulatory compliance.

Job Description

• Provide training and guidance to operations and maintenance personnel on new procedures, protocols, and best practices resulting from process improvements, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and implementation and monitors the food wastage and keep records.
• Conduct regular water quality testing and analysis using appropriate instruments to ensure treated water meets regulatory and quality standards.
• Oversee the complete execution and delivery of the Detailed Engineering scope assigned to the project, with the full support of the engineering team led by COO.
• Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure all works meet project specifications and standards, including inspections and third-party checks.
• Male with a minimum of 3-5 years of environmental experience, preferably within offshore construction.
• Good knowledge of ISO 14001, environmental monitoring, waste management, spill response, and marine pollution control.
• Valid BOSIET/FOET, HUET, H2S, and Offshore Medical certification are required. ISO 14001 certification is an advantage.
